Agile is killing the specialists
If you are a deeply specialized expert, I have sad news for you: According to the Agile movement, your species will become extinct. So: Don't surrender to agile. This talk is a wake up call for all experts who believe that deep expertise (specialization) is a good survival strategy.
In the "old world" I have seen many experts being promoted to managers. In the "new world", experts are told to "volunteer" to become cross functional, t-shaped.
Is there a way to survive agile as a hard core specialist?
